Polynomials Field Trip 2

A suspension bridge, spans the entrance to a bay. Its 746-foot-tall towers are 4200 feet apart. The bridge is suspended from two huge cables more than 3 feet in diameter; the 90-foot-wide roadway is 220 feet above water. The cables, parabolic in shape, touch the road surface at the middle point of the bridge.
Later we will use the concept of polynomial to find the height of the cable at a distance of 1500 feet from the center.

Polynomials Field Trip 1

First-, second-, and third-degree polynomials functions are widely used electronic industries to model manufacturing processes and product design features, based on the measurements made in factories and testing labs. Examples include predicting the assembly time for a specific product on a particular type of machine and optimizing production cost in a particular course of action.
